WELCOME TO MOVEMBER!
It’s time for our fifth annual Movember Charity Drive, where we raise money for charity for the entire month of November. In addition to raising money, we’ll also be giving away prizes, running an auction, and doing a bunch of silly and humiliating stuff over on our YouTube and Twitch live streams.
Here’s everything you need to know about our 2025 Pride of Detroit Movember Charity Drive.
Charity
This year, we are again raising funds for the University of Michigan Health Rogel Cancer Center,
specifically for their Men’s Cancer Research Fund. Voted the highest rated center for cancer care in Michigan by the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospital rankings, the Rogel Center is at the cutting edge of both cancer treatment and research.
Donations collected through our fundraiser will go directly toward supporting groundbreaking research, raising awareness, and providing critical resources to patients in need.
I have a personal connection to this charity, as I lost my father to cancer in 2016. Ken Reisman, the entire reason I’m a Lions fan today, was diagnosed with kidney cancer back in 2001. Thanks to the research and care of places like the Rogel Cancer Center, I was able to spend well over a decade with him after his initial diagnosis—far beyond early estimates of how much time he had left (six months). Those are some of my most cherished memories I have with my father, and it never would have been possible without cancer research—which often can only get off the ground with help from individual donations.
How to donate through our campaign
Simple! Just head to our donation page here.
Our charity drive accepts payment via credit card or PayPal.
Prizes!
Giveaway prizes
As always, we want to celebrate Lions fans as part of our Movember festivities. So throughout the month, we will also be giving back to you!
Here’s how it’ll work: when we hit specific milestones in our donations (ie: $1,000, $2,500, etc.), we’ll run a random giveaway to one of our live viewers during stream. All you have to do to be eligible is to be part of the live audience—both Twitch and YouTube—and type in the keyword when I give it out. That will be your free entry, and we’ll pull a random name when we hit certain milestones.
NOTE: Out of fairness for everyone, you are only eligible to win a single prize. In other words, once you win a prize, you are no longer eligible for future prizes in the 2024 giveaway.
Here’s what’s up for grabs (list will be updated throughout the month)
- Lions trading cards
- A 12 x 18 professional print of a Lions photo of your choosing
- A Lions jersey of your choosing
- A Lions scarf
- A snack pack courtesy of our friends at Righteous Felon
- More to come as the month continues
Donation rewards
After Movember is over, I will email donors who have reached this level of donation (it can be through multiple donations, as long as they’re made under the same name/email), and if you qualify, you can cash in for the following rewards.
- $100 — Subscription to POD Direct into preseason 2026 (If you’re already a subscriber, you can gift it!)
- $250 — Cameo-type personalized video of your choosing + 2 POD stickers
- $500 (new this year!) — A one-of-a-kind Pride of Detroit Movember hoodie
- $750 — Write an article for Pride of Detroit (subject to editorial process)
- $1,000 — Be a guest on the PODcast
Donation Incentives
There are also individual rewards you can earn with a single donation. To redeem a donation incentive, please make sure to list your choice in your donation message.
Here are the individual rewards you can earn automatically by donating (can only choose one with each donation):

These items will be up on our official donation page in the very near future. 100% of the winning bids will go to Rogel Cancer Center. There will be an online auction page published in the near future to bit.

Donation goals
Last year, we raised over $50,000. This year, we’ve got loftier goals and even better incentives along the way. Here’s what will happen if we collectively hit some milestones:
- $5,000 — Activates PODcast host punishment by Lions (see below)
- $10,000 — POD team tries to leap into stands at Ford Field (a la Jared Goff)
- $15,000 — Jeremy does a round of disc golf in the Macho Man costume
- $20,000 — Ryan starts a Jared Goff chant in a public place (ie: grocery store)
- $25,000 — POD team tries 30-inch pizza eating challenge
- $30,000 — Video games with Graham Glasgow
- $35,000 — Ryan does the Dan Campbell caffeine challenge
- $40,000 — POD team runs a 5k
- $50,000 — POD team does public karaoke of Toto’s “Africa”
- $60,000 — Jeremy dresses up like Marilyn Monroe
- $75,000 — Jeremy will shave his head
Once we hit $5,000, it will activate a new challenge that we will try to accomplish at the end of the month, based on how the Detroit Lions perform in the entire month of November (five games). Here’s how it works:
- For Jeremy: For every Jack Fox punt that is pinned inside the 20-yard line PLUS every Jake Bates made field goal from 50+ yards, Jeremy will have to do 10 up-downs.
- For Ryan: For every Jared Goff passing TD, Ryan will attempt to eat 10 chicken nuggets in one sitting
- For Meko: For every Jameson Williams TD, Meko will run an additional mile
Wheel of pain
For every $1,000 that we raise, we’ll spin what we endearingly call the Wheel of Pain. Here’s what the 2025 version of the Wheel of Pain looks like. (Note: We’ll rotate things throughout the month.)
Wheel of EXTREME PAIN
For every $10,000 we raise, we’ll spin a wheel of MORE EXTREME versions of our Wheel of Pain. Current options:
- Smelling salts
- Fart spray in face
- Sour pickle balls
- Mushy peas
While not necessary, I would highly recommend donating and redeeming the above rewards while we’re live on Twitch or YouTube. Here’s when we’re live:
- Monday nights after the game (ETA 6-8 p.m. ET)
- Tuesday afternoons or nights for the mailbag podcast
- Saturday mornings for our Madden Sims (10-11:30 a.m. ET)
Marathon stream!
Our Movember campaign will end with a 16-hour marathon stream from 8 a.m. ET to midnight with special guests throughout the day. Previous guests have included:
- ESPN’s Mina Kimes
- Detroit Football Network’s Justin Rogers
- Detroit Free Press’ Dave Birkett
- The Athletic’s Colton Pouncy
- MLive’s Ben Raven
- Detroit News’ Nolan Bianchi
- Former Lions offensive tackle Lomas Brown (part of the Lions Ring of Honor)
- Former Lions safety Glover Quin
- Former Lions wide receiver Herman Moore
- Lions play-by-play radio announcer Dan Miller
The date is still TBD. Check back for updates.
