Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has only been able to watch the team’s wild success from the sidelines so far this season, but the absences has not stifled his love for the game.
“I think you learn a lot of things when you’re injured. For example, I see how much fun I usually have and how much I love football. And you have time to calmly see what you can do better. On the pitch, you don’t have that time to think about everything. And of course I want to come back even better. I’ve been with my family
almost all the time since my injury. They’ve helped me a lot – also to switch off from everything a little bit,” Musiala told FCBayern.com.
As much as Musiala seems to be handling the situation well, he does miss being back out on the pitch with the team — especially when it is playing so well.
“You can see how well we’re playing at the moment, how much fun they’re all having. I want to be part of that and be back on the pitch — also with Phonzy (Alphonso Davies). We want to have fun after our injuries and make sure we win a lot as a team,” Musiala noted.
Earlier today, Musiala was out on the training pitch and chatting it up with Vincent Kompany:
Bayern Munich is certainly eager to get Musiala back in the fold and it appears that the player is just as excited at that prospect. Musiala is expected to return in December.
The German national team knew it would need to step up its efforts against Northern Ireland.
While not a powerhouse, the Northern Ireland squad was game and made life very tough during Germany’s 1-0 victory. It was not pretty and it was not likely the kind of dominant result that fans wanted to see, but it was a stiff test and one where the Germans could not afford to come out flat.
Intensity and focus were there, but execution was not. Regardless, it was a win for Germany. Let’s dive into the details. This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show:
