The Syracuse Orange women’s soccer program hasn’t enjoyed a lot of success since moving to the ACC, but maybe the 2026 season will be different.
Yesterday afternoon, the Orange (3-0-1, 0-0) won their third straight game by defeating the Princeton Tigers 3-0 at the SU Soccer Stadium. Once again goalie Maya Naimoli stood tall in goal, lowering her goals against average to 0.25 for the season.
The Orange got on the board in the first half on a penalty kick from Vickie Jones, her 2nd PK goal on the season.
The Orange put the game away with a flurry in the 2nd half. Transfer Ali Howard took the throw-in, brushed off defenders to make a perfect cross into the box where Abby Incorvaia was able to head it into the Princeton goal for her 2nd goal on the season.
It only took 21 seconds for the Orange to add a third goal as Farrah Stephens-Martin beat the Princeton keeper to a loose ball just outside the box and deflected it into the open net. Syracuse will welcome Niagara to the SU Soccer Stadium on Thursday night.
