David Mirkovic was seen back on the court after offseason foot surgery, while Zvonimir Ivisic returned from a hand injury. Newcomers Stefan Vaaks, Quentin Coleman and Lincoln Williams also impressed during the early practices.

Illinois volleyball heads west for a challenging weekend road trip. The Illini will face No. 22 Washington Friday night after sweeping ranked opponents Minnesota and USC last week.

⚽ Soccer: Illini build momentum
Illinois soccer is coming off one of its biggest wins of the season, shutting out Oregon 2-0 on Sunday. Gabriella Garcia-Terrell and Ashleigh Vizek scored in the second half as the Illini improved to 4-2-5 overall and 1-2-2 in conference play.
