Myles Garrett has found his place among the very best players in the NFL, with the Los Angeles Rams defensive star coming in at No. 1 overall on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026 with the announcement today that Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills is the No. 2 overall player.
Myles Garrett will be officially announced tomorrow at 10:00 AM EST with a tribute by other players.
Garrett set the NFL’s single-season sack record last season, recording 23 sacks with the Cleveland Browns. He also earned his second
career Defensive Player of the Year award, further cementing his status as one of the league’s premier defensive players.
Now, Garrett enters the 2026 season in a completely different situation.
The Rams acquired the superstar defensive end from Cleveland during the offseason in one of the biggest blockbuster trades in recent NFL history. Los Angeles surrendered a significant package to bring Garrett to Sean McVay’s team, but the move demonstrated just how highly the Rams value his ability to change games from the defensive side of the ball.
Garrett’s join new teammatesMatthew Stafford and Puka Nacua in the top 10 this year; giving the Rams 3 superstars while no other organization has more than one.
In 2025, Garrett finished No. 8 overall, giving him an improvement of 7 spots.
Myles Garrett has already built a résumé worthy of one of the NFL’s all-time great pass rushers. Through nine seasons, Garrett has appeared in 134 regular-season games, recording 412 tackles, 125.5 sacks, 149 tackles for loss and 23 forced fumbles. His 125.5 sacks rank among the top 20 in NFL history. Garrett has also earned seven Pro Bowl selections and five First-Team All-Pro honors, including each of the last three seasons. He is also a two-time AP Defensive Player of the Year, winning the award in 2023 and 2025.
