we can breathe a sigh of relief. Taking a much needed win to make the playoffs, the Phillies are waking up today in Atlanta to prepare for the wild card round against the Braves. It should at least be entertaining.

- It got hairy, but the Phillies were able to avoid the company of the 2007 Mets and the 1964 Phillies by winning yesterday ($).
- The stars were actually out to play for the Phillies yesterday. Can they continue to do it against the Braves?
- Jesus Luzardo was activated for yesterday’s game and should be in play to be the game one starter on Tuesday.
MLB news:
- The playoffs are now setwith the Astros somehow winning the AL West yet again. Maybe this will be the end of their reign.
- MLB has talked with the Trump administration about playing a game in a national park. Please don’t do this.
- Max Scherzer pitched into the eighth inning yesterday for the Blue Jays. Will that be his final MLB start? I’d say no.
- Dan Wilson will not be coming back to manage the Mariners next year. Not a big surprise with how that team collapsed this year.
