2026 NFL Draft: Projecting win-win trades teams SHOULD make in Round 1 | NFL.com
Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs receive:
2026 1st-round pick (No. 20 overall)
2026 5th-round pick (No. 152 overall)
2026 7th-round pick (No. 218 overall)Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys receive:
2026 1st-round pick (No. 29 overall)
2026 3rd-round pick (No. 74 overall)
2026 5th-round pick (No. 148 overall)
2026 5th-round pick (No. 176 overall)And now for something different: two teams with two first-round picks swinging a deal with one
another. They might just be able to help each other out.
The Chiefs are in win-again mode. If they can come out of this draft with a pass rusher, at least one cornerback, a receiver and possibly a tackle — in whatever order — then I think they’d consider it a success. They’ll cross one of those needs off with their first first-rounder.
That leaves big holes to address at Nos. 29 and 40, and I don’t know that GM Brett Veach can wait that long. He’s aggressive by nature, and several teams the Chiefs are competing against (the Chargers, Bills and Texans) are picking just ahead of them, along with other teams targeting the same positions Kansas City is. We could see runs at any of the Chiefs’ biggest positions of need in the middle of Round 1. And with four top-100 picks to deal, they can be bold in making sure they don’t miss out.

WR Stefon Diggs
It’s a weird time in Kansas City.
A Chiefs team used to deep playoff runs is coming off its first 10-loss season since a 2-14 debacle in 2012, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes is rehabbing the first major injury of his career—an ACL tear that leaves his availability for the start of the 2026 campaign in doubt.
Bringing in Stefon Diggs wouldn’t be a weird move, though. The Chiefs need to add a wide receiver to a room that currently sports Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and not much else. Kansas City has also made something of a habit of bringing in veteran wide receivers who were cast off by other teams.
Diggs is also coming off a quietly-solid season with the New England Patriots: 102 targets, 85 receptions, 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.
Right now, Kansas City’s pass-catchers are more a weakness than a strength. The addition of Diggs could change that.
On Monday, March 30, Kelce was announced as the latest Global Brand Ambassador and creative collaborator for Tommy Hilfiger. The partnership will officially begin in Fall 2026 with Tommy Hilfiger’s New York and will continue in their Spring 2027 campaign with a design collaboration. Kelce will also wear classic and innovative Tommy Hilfiger styles on tunnel walks during 2026.
“Travis Kelce is one of the most magnetic figures in sport and culture today,” Tommy Hilfiger said, via press release. “He is at the forefront of a new generation of athletes expressing themselves through style, with a down-to-earth quality that people immediately connect with. I’m excited to see how he brings his fearless, fun-loving and bold take on Prep Made Current to fans around the world.”
Kelce, of course, is a bit of a fashionisto with his iconic gameday fits and his own personal True Kolors brand. He’s already collaborated with American Eagle, and this latest venture with Tommy Hilfiger will take him even deeper into the fashion world. It won’t be a surprise to see him bring his own flair and style to Hilfiger’s classic designs.
Rams coach likes how Chiefs’ Steve Spagnuolo used All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie | The Kansas City Star
On Monday morning, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay joined Kay Adams, host of the “Up & Adams” show on FanDuel TV. McVay and Adams spoke at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix.
The Rams recently acquired All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Chiefs in exchange for a package of NFL Draft (2026 NFL Draft Preview) picks, including Los Angeles’ 2026 first-round pick at No. 29 overall.
“I think you’re going to see him in a lot of different spots,” McVay said, “where you can move him around and you can take advantage of. He’s a guy that can play a lot of locations. (Fellow Rams cornerback) Quentin Lake can do that.”
Last year, Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo deployed McDuffie outside nearly 70% of the time, and he lined up in the slot nearly 20% of the time.
“I think what I respect about what Spags did is he moved him based on where they needed him the most,” McVay said. “It was exciting, and we’re glad that we got him.”
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Brandon George pays special visit to Reading Hospital | WFMZ-TV
Inside Reading Hospital, a special visit. Brandon George, a Berks Catholic graduate, now a linebacker with the Kansas City Chiefs, back home, spending time with families and kids.
“I feel like it’s just what you need to do when you have the platform to go back and give back a little bit and talk to the community, because at some point, I was a little kid too,” George said.
He grew up here, even attending daycare right down the street, making this visit full circle.

Seahawks to be featured on ‘Hard Knocks’ summer 2026, Pats 2027 | ESPN
The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will be featured on this summer’s “Hard Knocks,” it was announced to clubs at the NFL’s annual meeting, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday.
Then in the summer of 2027, the New England Patriots will be featured on the long-running series produced by NFL Films for HBO. It will be the first appearance for both franchises, which most recently met in Super Bowl LX — with the Seahawks posting a 29-13 victory in Santa Clara, California.
This will be the first time since “Hard Knocks” launched in 2001 with the Baltimore Ravens that the series has documented a defending Super Bowl champion.
Dan Campbell: Penei Sewell is ready to move to left tackle | Pro Football Talk
The Lions have not made any official pronouncements about their plans for left tackle in the wake of Taylor Decker’s release, but head coach Dan Campbell knows what direction he’d like to go at the position.
Penei Sewell played left tackle in college before moving to the right side upon joining the Lions as a 2021 first-round pick. Speculation about a move back to the left side began to swirl when Decker was considering retirement and has not abated since Decker’s departure.
On Monday, Campbell told reporters at the league meeting in Arizona that his preference is for Sewell to move and that Sewell is prepared for a change.
“He’s ready to do that,” Campbell said, via Albert Breer of SI.com.
Sean McVay says Rams weighing Kirk Cousins as backup, considered trading Davante Adams | NFL.com
The Rams considered shopping veteran wide receiver Davante Adams this offseason, but ultimately decided against it.
“If we felt like it was best for our team we would have done that,” McVay said, per the Los Angeles Times. “But we didn’t think it was best for our team, so excited to be able to move forward with him.”
McVay told reporters he spoke openly with the 33-year-old receiver about potential trade talks, explaining he felt it is important to inform players of what is being discussed, per The Athletic.
This revelation was a striking admission made by a coach of a team that harbors strong Super Bowl ambitions entering the new season. Adams played a key role in Los Angeles’ offense in 2025, especially in the red zone, serving as a reliable target for Stafford opposite Puka Nacua and finishing with 60 receptions for 789 yards and a league-leading 14 receiving touchdowns in 14 games.

Andy Reid on Chiefs wide receivers: ‘A better position than most teams’
With his rookie year behind him, Royals could be a bigger part of Kansas City’s plans in 2026 than it feels like currently. Is he the key to Reid’s vote of confidence in the state of the position?
No matter how high the head coach’s confidence is in the receivers for 2026, there is clearly work to be done for the long-term outlook of the position. Investment at the position through the draft could happen with the 2027 and 2028 seasons in mind, more so than the 2026 campaign.
With that in mind, selecting a receiver with the No. 9 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft may not fit Reid’s vision as well as another position could.
