On Friday, November 6, 2026, former New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead and running back Mark Ingram were inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame during a luncheon held at Chateau Country Club in Kenner.
Sal La Rock, the Superdome’s press box security supervisor, received the Joe Gemelli “Fleur de Lis” Award, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the New Orleans Saints organization through their dedication, service and commitment to the franchise.
Ingram was
selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round (28th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. Over 10 seasons in New Orleans (2011–2018 and 2021–2022), Ingram cemented his place in franchise history, becoming the Saints’ all-time leading rusher in 2021. However, his record was surpassed by Alvin Kamara just three years later. A three-time Pro Bowl selection, including two appearances as a Saint, Ingram retired following the 2022 season and currently serves as a college football analyst for FOX Sports. Due to his commitments with FOX Sports, Ingram was unable to attend the luncheon but will be in attendance at tonight’s gala and tomorrow’s game. In a prerecorded message, Ingram expressed his gratitude to his family, former teammates, the Saints organization and the fans for their unwavering support, encouragement and love throughout his career, fittingly closing his message with an enthusiastic “WHO DAT!”
Armstead was selected by the Saints in the third round (75th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Over nine seasons in New Orleans (2013–2021), he established himself as one of the NFL’s premier offensive tackles and a cornerstone of the Saints’ offensive line. Armstead earned three consecutive Pro Bowl selections (2018–2020) and Associated Press second-team All-Pro honors in 2018. He played a key role in protecting quarterback Drew Brees and helping anchor one of the league’s most productive offenses during his tenure with the franchise.
During his acceptance speech, Armstead expressed his gratitude to his family, who were in attendance, as well as Saints owner Gayle Benson, who was also present, and the entire Saints organization for their support throughout his career. He also shared that his only regret from his playing days was that he and his teammates were unable to bring another Super Bowl championship to the city of New Orleans.
Sal La Rock has been a valued member of the Caesars Superdome staff since 1998, beginning his career in event services for public safety before being promoted to Press Box Supervisor just two years later. For nearly three decades, affectionately known as “Mr. Sal,” he has been a familiar face and a warm, welcoming presence for media members covering Saints games. His kindness, dedication and genuine hospitality have made him a beloved fixture in the press box, and game days at the Superdome simply wouldn’t be the same without him.
All three honorees will be recognized by the Saints Hall of Fame during halftime of tomorrow’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
