The Baltimore Ravens are trailing the New York Jets at halftime by a score of 7-3. Here are the latest reactions from Baltimore Beatdown’s staff.
The stats say it all: the Ravens offense is bad. Lamar Jackson
looks out of sorts, again, and the running game can’t get going, again. Another botched sequence in the red zone on Baltimore’s only decent drive of the half is emblematic of the problems facing this team. They refuse to get out of their own way and turn every matchup into a dogfight, no matter how good they should be. This is just ugly, ugly football. – Nikhil Mehta
The offense is broken. I don’t know how to fix it. They can’t run the ball to help Lamar Jackson behind this awful offensive line. Lamar Jackson himself looks broken. Hesitant to run, looks hurt, and missing some basic throws. He doesn’t look like himself.
At the least the defense is good. Extend Travis Jones, Jordan Stout, and Dre Jones. – Zach Canter
The Ravens offense does not look right, starting with Lamar Jackson. Whether it’s injuries or the lack of trust in the offensive line, he doesn’t look like himself. To compound the issue the Ravens can’t run the ball against a bad Jets defense. It’s hard to watch right now but let’s see if they can get something together in the second half. – Stephen Bopst
Another week, another terribly uninspiring Ravens first-half performance. Dre’Mont Jones and Mike Green have looked great. Jordan Stout remains the standout. Only positive offensively is the focus on getting Flowers involved. It must get better. This is the last week facing an offense that will allow the Ravens to sleep-walk through a game and still escape with a victory. – Mark Myers
