Last week, two-time NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa announced that he would be leaving WWE when his contract expired.
It was a bit of a surprise. Not because Ciampa is an irreplaceable piece necessarily (although he’s a really good wrestler that WWE found a number of spots for over his decade with the company), but because he seemed like a WWE lifer.
