Former Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Brandon Pridham will be joining the Pittsburgh Penguins as a hockey operations consultant.
According to a new report from Sportsnet inside Elliotte Friedman, Pridham is expected to handle contract, cap management, and planning responsibilities with the Penguins.
The duties Pridham is expected to take on were previously being handled by Vickie Mpofu, who recently departed the Penguins organization for Nashville.
Joining the Penguins will be a reunion of sorts for Pridham, who spent the past 12 seasons in Toronto with the Maple Leafs, with a number of those years working alongside Kyle Dubas.
Earlier this year, Pridham and the Maple Leafs mutually agreed to part ways after the team made changes at the management level, bringing in John Chayka as general manager.
In 2018, Pridham was promoted to assistant general manager with the Maple Leafs after spending a handful of seasons with the team in a lesser role.
