Aleksandar Pavlović is not interested in setting modest targets for Bayern Munich this season. The young midfielder has made it clear that the expectations inside the dressing room are as high as ever, with the club aiming to compete for every major trophy available.
Asked about Bayern’s objectives for the campaign, Pavlović delivered a straightforward answer that should sound familiar to anyone who understands the expectations at the Allianz Arena
“We want to win everything: the Champions League,
the DFB-Pokal and the Bundesliga title,” Pavlović told Sport Bild’s Christian Falk and Julian Agardi (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
There is no shortage of ambition in those words, but Bayern Munich has the squad and quality to make those aspirations realistic. The Bundesliga remains the club’s domestic priority, and Vincent Kompany will expect his team to maintain its consistency over the course of a demanding league campaign. Bayern also has unfinished business in the DFB-Pokal, a competition they have not won since 2020. Ending that drought would be another important milestone for this group.
Then there is the Champions League, the ultimate measuring stick for any Bayern Munich side. Winning the competition requires more than individual brilliance. It demands consistency, resilience, tactical discipline, and the ability to deliver when the pressure is at its highest.
For Pavlović, these are not simply lofty aspirations. They are the standards expected at Bayern Munich. The midfielder has grown into an increasingly important part of the squad, and his mentality reflects the club’s ambitions.
Winning one trophy would represent a successful season for many clubs. At Bayern, the expectation is to chase all three. Pavlović clearly understands that distinction. Now the hard part begins: turning those words into silverware.
