To cap off Week 1 of the NFL season, on Monday evening, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Denver Broncos for a “Monday Night Football” bout at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on ABC and ESPN.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Kansas City begins the week as a 2.5-point favorite.
The last time these two franchises faced off was Christmas Day at Arrowhead; Denver closed as a 13.5-point favorite against the Chiefs without
quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City covered, but the Broncos pulled away from a tie game in the fourth quarter to win 20-13.
Of course, Denver’s victory sealed the clean sweep of the Chiefs in 2025: in Week 11, the Chiefs were four-point favorites on the road against the Broncos, but lost 22-19.
In the 2026 preseason, the Chiefs were defeated by the Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks. The Broncos beat the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings, but lost to the Green Bay Packers.
