Former Ravens defensive lineman and defensive line coach Anthony Weaver is returning to Baltimore. He is set to become the defensive coordinator on Jesse Minter’s new staff, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
Weaver, 45, spent the last two years as the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator under Mike McDaniel. Prior to that he served as the defensive line coach on John Harbaugh’s staff from 2021 to 2023. He also held the title of run game coordinator in 2021 and associate head coach in 2022 and 2023.
Weaver interviewed for Baltimore’s DC vacancy after Mike Macdonald left for Seattle, but he was passed over for Zach Orr and took the same position in Miami shortly after. He turned a middling Dolphins defense into a top-10 unit in his first year, but it took a significant step back in 2025. However, that regression seemed to be less related to Weaver’s coaching and more to major roster holes at cornerback and defensive line.
