It was a rough day all around for the Atlanta Braves, who suffered a 4-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Not only were the Braves shutout, but Ronald Acuña Jr. fouled a ball off his shin and exited the game in the third inning. Fortunately, his X-ray was negative and he is considered day-to-day.
While there is still a chance of a bone bruise that only an MRI would reveal, the Braves caught a major
break and are hopeful Acuña Jr. will be healthy for a postseason run.
