As the MLB Draft enters its second day, Sunday also marks the first of Philadelphia’s All-Star festivities on the field — the All-Star Futures Game.
The annual contest showcases the top prospects in the game and will take place today at 10 a.m. MDT at Citizens Bank Park.
For the second straight season, Rockies star prospect Charlie Condon (No. 1 PuRP) will represent Colorado in the contest. Roldy Brito (No. 11 PuRP) will be making his first appearance in the game.
Condon, the 23-year-old first baseman
and outfielder, is having an impressive season for Triple-A Albuquerque. The Rockies first-round pick of the 2024 MLB Draft (No. 3 overall) is hitting .289/.414/.584 with 20 homers, 16 doubles and 60 RBI in 79 games. Condon hit cleanup in the 2025 Futures Game, but went 0-for-3 with two groundouts and a strikeout. He will get his second consecutive start today and once again be in the cleanup spot.
A second baseman and center fielder, Brito, who is only 19 years old, is still developing in Low-A Fresno. Signed in 2024 out of the Dominican Republic, Brito is hitting .327/.390/.506 with eight homers, 20 doubles, 66 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 79 games for the Single-A Fresno Grizzlies.
Sunday’s game will pit the National League vs. the American League and will feature the top prospects from 19 MLB teams, according to MLB Pipeline. The contest is seven innings.
In a weekend honoring the host city, two Phillies legends will serve as managers: Shane Victorino for the NL and Larry Bowa for the AL.
The National League will be playing for its fourth consecutive win.
