Just about everything related to the 2025 Major League Baseball season is done and dusted, but this week will truly wrap it up.
The Baseball Writers’ Association of America voted on the awards at the end
of the regular season, and now, the league will reveal the winners. The Rookies of the Year for each league will be tonight, Managers of the Year will be tomorrow, Cy Young Awards will be Wednesday, and (most relevantly for Yankees fans, re: Aaron Judge) the MVPs will be Thursday. That day, MLB will also name the winners of their own honors at a ceremony in Las Vegas—the First and Second All-MLB Team, Hank Aaron Awards, Comeback Players of the Year, Rivera/Hoffman Relievers of the Year, DH of the Year, and Executives of the Year.
As for us today on the site, we’ll continue one offseason series and begin a new one. Estevão will handle the Roster Report Card for Fernando Cruz, and Jeremy will kick off our Potential Free Agent Targets with a look at the biggest name on the market, lefty slugger/erstwhile Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker.
Questions/Prompts:
1. Who do you think will win AL Rookie of the Year?
2. Same question, but for the National League selection!
