Indiana men’s basketball is undergoing its second near total roster rebuild in as many years under Darian DeVries with only one contributor, rising sophomore forward Trent Sisley, electing to return to the Hoosiers. That rebuild got a big boost on Monday when the program landed three commitments.
Here’s what to know about the three new Hoosiers:
- G Jaeden Mustaf
- Former school: Georgia Tech
- Class: Rising junior
- Role: Slashing wing, low volume 3-point shooter
- G Darren Harris
- Former school: Duke
- Class: Rising junior
- Role: Shooting guard, potential at small forward
- G Markus Burton
- Former school: Notre Dame
- Class: Rising senior*
- Role: Point guard, scorer
*Burton played in only ten games for the Fighting Irish this past season, almost certainly making him eligible to receive an additional year of eligibility
via waiver under current NCAA rules.
If that wasn’t enough good news for the program, Indiana hosted Alabama transfer big man Aiden Sherrell for a visit in recent days and is reportedly the favorite to land his commitment.
