Michael Olise, Bayern Munich and France star, continues to dazzle on the pitch with his outstanding technique and even off the pitch for his mysterious persona. In Vesterbro, Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, a restaurant decided to name the establishment after the 24-year-old where all the employees wore France NT shirts with Olise’s name and number on the back for the World Cup. Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) reached out to Sigurd Kjelgaard, the manager of Olise (sorry, Vincent), and asked
him how the name and shirt campaign came to be.
“In our bistro, we truly make every decision based on appreciation or admiration for something – be it creating a new dish or choosing the name for our bistro. And since we all admire Michael Olise, we named our restaurant after him when we opened in autumn 2025.
“During a meeting, the idea spontaneously arose that the entire staff could wear Olise’s jersey during the World Cup matches. We also show his World Cup games with a projector in our bistro. We’re considering continuing this after the World Cup for his matches with FC Bayern. We will always have a table for him should he ever want to drop by. We would love to invite him and hope that he feels our support from Copenhagen.”
Hopefully someone from Bayern catches on and brings the club to Denmark where Olise can meet his steadfast supporters from Scandinavia. Too bad FC Copenhagen isn’t in the Champions League next season.
