Thekla may have demanded more than she can handle for AEW Forbidden Door. The Toxic Spider ran her mouth with disrespect about Stardom, and she offered to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against anyone in that locker room. The challenger was announced during Collision. Thekla will face Starlight Kid.
At the ripe age of 24, the masked Joshi has won several championships in her career. Starlight Kid also holds a 2-0 record over Thekla for singles match in Stardom. Upon hearing the news, Thekla stated
that she hates Starlight Kid with a passion.
The scene airing on Saturday night unfolded when Tony Schiavone offered an apology to Stardom for Thekla spitting on their logo. Thekla wasn’t having that nonsense. She cut an entertaining promo in her unique style that makes her an attraction.
Thekla refused to apologize to any dumb b*tches. Stardom fired her, and look at her now. Thekla is on the top of the world as champion. They created the monster that she is today. Thekla did Stardom a favor by spitting on their logo, because it brought attention to their brand. Thekla claimed that her saliva is worth more than any wrestler in Stardom. Firing her was the biggest mistake Stardom ever made. Thekla is the most toxic woman alive. Also of note, Thekla wiped her spit on Tony Schiavone’s jacket.
Later in the show, Stardom revealed Starlight Kid as the challenger. Thekla didn’t back down. She will make sure Starlight Kid’s first time in AEW will be her last time. The Toxic Spider will spit on that grave.
Speaking of their past, here is video of round one in the rivalry. Starlight Kid scored a bridging roll-up to take the win on December 10, 2022. Thekla reacted by trying to tear the mask off Starlight Kid’s head. They met for round two on September 2, 2023. Starlight Kid took home the win again.
