What is the story about?
Marshall defensive tackle Naquan Crowder has committed to transferring to Minnesota. He finished this season with 26 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, three quarterback hurries, one pass break-up, and one forced fumble for the Thundering Herd.
Crowder has two years of eligibility remaining.
This is a critical addition for the Golden Gophers at a position of need for next season. Minnesota’s top four defensive tackles from this season are all out of eligibility, so they need Crowder (and at least one more transfer) in the worst way. Redshirt freshmen Jaylin Hicks and Riley Sunram are the only other defensive tackles on the roster who saw the field this year.
