When Jade Cargill somewhat awkwardly Pillman-ized Alexa Bliss’ arm
on the July 10 SmackDown, wrestling fans who’ve followed Bliss’ career mostly thought, “oh, that’s right, she’s double-jointed or something”.Bliss did have some bruising to show off online afterwards though, and has been wearing a big arm brace in public appearances since, like in that amazing picture from Fanatics Fest last weekend above of her with NFL Hall of Famer and Dancing With The Stars winner Emmitt Smith, NFL Commissioner
Roger Goodell, and Woody from Toy Story.
And this cool clip of her suprising a fan who was doing her entance at the same event.
She was wearing it when she appeared on ESPN’s Vibe Check yesterday (July 22) with Samantha Rivera. Bliss was open about her “bendy elbows”, but said she is injured enough to be sidelined until after SummerSlam:
“[Jade] bent my elbow backward with a chair, which is fine because I have bendy elbows, but it went a little too far and when she slammed the chair, I think there is a bone chip and this ligament is a little overstretched. It’s sore, but it’s more of an inconvenience with how bulky this [the brace] is. It’s keeping things in place, it’s healing fast, and I’m hoping it’s just a couple of weeks and we’re good.”
The five-time WWE Women’s champ didn’t rule out appearing at SummerSlam, but otherwise focused on tag partner Charlotte Flair, who Bliss thinks will beat Nia Jax at SmackDown tomorrow. If Lexi’s right, Flair will be in the Ladder Match with Cargill, Tiffany Stratton and two others to crown an interim WWE Women’s champ in Minnesota next weekend.
Will The Queen be champ after SummerSlam? How would that affect her friendship and team-up with Bliss? Let us know, below the embed of Alexa on Vibe Check.
