The Portland Trail Blazers are in an interesting part of the calendar year. Their season is done, a 42-40 record and a trip to the playoffs in the rearview mirror. The NBA Draft lies ahead, but as of this moment, Portland doesn’t have a pick in the proceedings. Free agency and trade season should be exciting. The Blazers have been linked to players like Jaylen Brown and Giannis Antetokounmpo, rare air for a less-prominent franchise. Beginning next week we’re also going to talk about trade targets
from hither and yon, big names and less prominent ones alike.
All of that said, this is still a time to catch your breath as a Blazers fan. And really, when you think about it, it’s hard to put all of the upcoming decisions in context unless that context is defined and understood.
