Nikki Bella returned from an injury at SummerSlam this weekend after being sidelined for months, and now it looks like her twin sister will be missing some time from the ring.
During night one of SummerSlam, the Bellas teamed with (and eventually turned on) Paige against Fatal Influence. Speculation that Brie was injured started when she was protecting her shoulder throughout the match, as well as afterwards when Nikki dished out the punishment on Paige while Brie stood by, holding her shoulder.

Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque later confirmed Brie was hurt when speaking during SummerSlam’s Post Show, saying she was at the hospital for scans. While he didn’t have any concrete information on the severity of the injury at the time, he did say it “seems pretty bad.”
Nikki herself addressed the injury during a Sunday appeared on Busted Open Radio.
“She’s doing okay,” Nikki said of Brie. “She is in a lot of pain.”
She continued: “They are still determining what is going on. Brie will share that whenever.”
Nikki then indicated that she’s been instructed by someone not to divulge more details. She said to Busted Open: “I’ve been told to ‘zip it.’”
Fightful also shared a clip on X (Twitter) of a fan asking Nikki about her sister during an autograph signing on Sunday.
“It’s not looking good,” Nikki replied.
During the SummerSlam Post Show, Triple H acknowledged Brie was injured but said he didn’t “have an update yet.”
“She got some treatment here, has been taken to the hospital to get some scans done,” he said, adding, “Don’t have a clean answer on it yet. I know she hurt her shoulder. Seems pretty bad, but I don’t have that answer yet. Hopefully we will soon, and it won’t be as bad as we thought it was.
“But that’s the nature of the game. We’ll pivot accordingly for everything. It’s unfortunate, I hate it, this part of the business.”
