The optimistic fans of the Cleveland Browns hope that Week 2 was a building block for more to come. That starts in Week 3 with the Browns home opener against the Carolina Panthers. Cleveland is an underdog heading into the contest, going up against a high-powered offense led by QB Bryce Young.
The Browns have already picked up two former Panthers players in the last week, starting with WR Jimmy Horn Jr. at the end of Week 2’s practice schedule
, followed by LB Krys Barnes on Tuesday.If Cleveland can
beat Carolina, Week 4’s Thursday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers could have some epic energy off the shores of Lake Erie. On Tuesday, the Browns announced that TNF would be “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Game” themed:
As noted by our friend CLEology, the team has had someone from the incoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class perform the last two years during this themed week. This year’s list of performers getting inducted is as follows:
- Phil Collins
- Billy Idol
- Iron Maiden
- Joy Division/New Order
- Oasis
- Sade
- Luther Vandross
- Wu-Tang Clan
A look through current touring schedules shows that the following are not currently on tour, and likely available:
- Phil Collins
- Joy Division/New Order
- Oasis
- Sade (has not performed since 2011)
- Luther Vandross
Wu-Tang Clan is performing in California on the day of the game, we can rule them out. Iron Maiden is performing in Mexico on October 2nd, placing them on the unlikely list. Idol has performances scheduled on September 25th and 27th but nothing on October 1st, the day of the game, or after that.
