Noah Fifita is on the cusp of Arizona history, needing only a few more touchdown passes to become the career leader. He’s also just done something no Wildcat had in eight years.
The redshirt junior quarterback
has earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week recognition for the second time this season after his performance in Arizona’s 52-17 win at Colorado. Fifita is the first UA player with multiple weekly conference awards since he won five Freshman of the Week awards from the Pac-12 in 2023.
The last Wildcat to win multiple weekly Offensive Player of the Week honors was Khalil Tate in 2017 when he claimed four from the Pac-12.
Fifita was 11 of 19 for 213 yards and four TDs at Colorado, the third time this season he’s thrown at least four TD passes and sixth time in his career. He has 21 TD passes this season, tied for 6th-most in the country, and 65 for his career, needing two more to tie the UA record shared by Nick Foles and Willie Tuitama.
Arizona has won three Big 12 weekly awards this season. Running back Ismail Mahdi was honored after gaining 221 all-purpose yards against Kansas State in September.
