CMLL is playing the role of Mr. Sandman by bringing us a dream. Dream matches to be more precise. CMLL is hosting AEW stars for the Dream Match event on Friday night (Dec. 19, 2025) from Arena Mexico.
Claudio Castagnoli is in the main event defending the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship against Ultimo Guerrero. Guerrero is a two-time world heavyweight champion in CMLL. Two-time might not seem like a lot for a star of his level, but his title reigns were 963 days and 1,074 days. Even though this
is a genuine super fight between international talent, the Death Rider is still confident in his ability to keep the gold.
In a dream match of high-flyers, “Speedball” Mike Bailey challenges Mascara Dorada for the World Historic Welterweight Championship. Dorada has held the title for 735 days and counting. Both men are currently participating in the AEW Continental Classic tournament, however, they are in different leagues. Thanks to CMLL, this treat will be served.
Kevin Knight was supposed to wrestle Neon, but the luchador was pulled due to injury. Soberano Jr. is stepping up as the replacement. This bout is a clash of lanky leapers. Knight and Soberano are easily talented enough to steal the show.
The Dream Match card also includes El Torneo Gran Alternativa final between Atlantis Jr. & Xelhua versus Angel de Oro & Yutani and a torneo cibernetico to hype the Sin Salida cage match.
CMLL Dream Match will be available worldwide for live streaming through the CMLL YouTube subscription (Campeón Mundial and Leyenda levels). Outside Mexico, the show is also available through TrillerTV with English commentary. Triller is offering a 20% discount on the show for TrillerTV+ subscribers. The Friday night broadcast begins at 9:30 pm ET.
