MJF knocked one challenger down at AEW Grand Slam Australia (Feb. 14, 2026). The next challenger is ready and waiting for Revolution.
MJF defended the AEW World Championship against Brody King in the main event. King’s chances for victory were hit hard early when he injured his knee. MJF evaded a cannonball in the corner, and King’s leg felt the impact. MJF went to work targeting the joint.
Pause for a moment for appreciation of the kangaroo kick. MJF flipped the double bird to the Australian fans.
King’s offense was affected when his knee gave out often. He was able to push through the pain for big moves, such as a suicide dive.
MJF dodged the second cannonball attempt. As he rose to stand, King grabbed the neck for the hanging sleeper. MJF wasn’t going down that road again, so he quickly bit King’s arm to escape.
King eventually nailed the cannonball on his third try. When King tried to finish with the Gonzo Bomb, MJF was able to escape and counter for a sleeper hold. The champ cinched the choke tight. King was fading. That’s when Bandido ran to the ring with support to never give up. King showed life to slam his way out of the submission.
The action continued outside. King gingerly ran for another suicide dive. He was way too slow this time. MJF caught King’s neck for a DDT on the apron. When MJF went for a dive, King caught him to counter for a running DVD into the chair and barricade.
King was up first to beat the ten-count. Bandido reminded his friend to carry MJF back to the ring. The title can’t change hands on a count-out. As referee Bryce Remsburg checked on King, MJF pulled out the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Remsburg sensed foul play and confiscated the foreign object. King punched MJF out of the ring. MJF stood up, and King got him in the hanging choke. King dropped MJF’s body like a sack of potatoes down to the floor.
King retrieved that carcass and executed the Gonzo Bomb. MJF kicked out at 2 in a moment of high drama.
MJF regained control on a drop toehold into the ropes. He removed King’s knee pad, and that strategy paid off. King grabbed MJF again for the choke. MJF punched King’s raw knee to escape. He lifted the heavyweight for a piledriver slam on the apron.
That was the beginning of the end. MJF picked King up for the Heatseeker piledriver to win.
Earlier in the evening, Hangman Page defeated Andrade El Idolo to earn the world title shot at Revolution on March 15. After the main event, the cowboy confronted his prey. Hangman signed the contract and exited with a scowl of determination.
For those curious, the “Fuck ICE” chants continued to air on television.
