According to a report from Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich might have trouble keeping center-back Dayot Upamecano:
Liverpool is the latest
club to show an interest in Dayot Upamecano. LFC are considering Upamecano as a potential replacement for his France teammate Ibrahima Konaté, whose contract expires next summer. Bayern are doing everything to extend Upamecano’s contract, but the more time passes, the more clubs enter the race, and therefore the possible extension would become even more expensive for Bayern.
Bayern Munich will likely prioritize an extension with Upamecano, but there has been a reported gap between the player’s demands and Bayern Munich’s proposal. If the two sides cannot find a way to get closer, it has become clear that there will be other clubs willing to pay Upamecano what he wants.
Real Madrid has also been rumored to have interest in Upaemecano.
