It’s not very often that a game comes along and provides a chance to change the trajectory of your season in a meaningful way.
That opportunity has arrived for the Missouri Tigers this weekend in Oxford.
Mizzou is riding plenty of momentum and what looks to be a vastly improved defense from its first few weeks into a top-15 matchup on … (checks notes) … SEC Network?
Don’t let the network assignment fool you: this may be the matchup with the greatest College Football Playoff implications of any game
this week. Indiana and Ohio State are both ranked higher, to be fair, but both also seem likely to make the playoff given their respective remaining schedules regardless of the outcome in Bloomington.
The Tigers still have several chances left to nab a signature win on their schedule (and in fact have those chances in consecutive weeks against Texas and Georgia); life in the SEC affords you that luxury or burden, depending on your outlook. But Saturday against Ole Miss may be their best chance in 2026 to get the kind of win that truly puts you on the CFP map.
We’ll have the most notable updates from Mizzou’s showdown with the ninth-ranked Rebels here in this article. For all of our live updates, check our forums over at RockM+.
