After visiting Northwestern on April 14, 2026, Mount St. Mary’s forward Luke McEldon announced that he’s committing to play for the Wildcats in the 2026-27 season.
The 6-foot-10 big man from London, England will be entering his senior season after starting 29 of 30 games for the Mountaineers while averaging 11.7 points (second on team), 6.2 rebounds (led team) and 1.3 assists in 25.6 minutes per game during the 2025-26 season. McEldon went 64.5% from the field, a mark that led both his team and the Metro
Atlantic Athletic Conference and was ninth-best in Division I basketball. Prior to his time with Mount St. Mary’s, McEldon was with Santa Clara for two years, across which he appeared in only 14 total games.
McEldon is now the fifth player on Northwestern’s roster for the 2026-27 season (outside of incoming recruits) and the second addition from the transfer portal this year alongside Jack Karasinski
