Bayern Munich has long been reported to want to right-size its salary budget, but without context, many fans do not understand why.
While there are no publicly available figures on Bayern Munich’s salary list, Capology does work to compile salary data on each club. As such, we can use those figures as a framework to give fans an idea of what Bayern Munich might be working with and present a picture on why the club is so adamant about shedding some of those salaries. As with any unofficial data, there could
be variances.
We have included a “***” next to any salary not listed as verified by Capology. Most of the big names players have verified salary figures, but younger players appear harder for Capology to get verification on. Here is the disclaimer used by Capology on the process it uses:

Observations
- There is a lot of money tied up in Musiala at a time where both Kane and Olise are allegedly looking for new deals.
- Kane and Olise would both figure to jump Musiala if they do, indeed, sign new contracts.
- The Musiala injury could be devastating if the youngster cannot return to his previous levels of performance and production.
- While Davies is a fan favorite and a potential game changer, his salary package also appears inflated now that Bayern Munich has brought in Brown. Hopefully, Davies can return to his previous level of performance. Like Musiala leg injury, the ACL injury for Davies is one that can — potentially — leave lasting effects.
- While we do not know the salaries for Saibari or Brown yet, those two figures will definitely put some extra light on the salaries of Musiala and Davies.
- If Kim Min-jae does not prove he is up to the task of being a viable No. 3 center-back, his contract could go down as a very debatable investment at that price.
- Imagine being Christoph Freund and having the deals for Zaragoza and Boey on your resume. It does not nullify the smart deals for Eric Dier (free) and Urbig, but those two contracts are awful.
