Where: Conte Forum, Chestnut Hill MA
When: Friday, October 30 & Saturday, October 31
Puck Drop Time: 7pm EST on both Friday and Saturday
How to Watch: Both games will be streaming on ESPN+.
Preview: Northeastern is in the midst of an extremely strange season, in which they will play every game on the road while their new arena is under construction. They’ve started the season pretty well so far, knocking off Bentley 5-1 in their season opener
before splitting a two-game series against UMass with a matching pair of 4-1 scorelines. The Huskies were picked to finish eighth in the Hockey East presesaon poll, so there wasn’t a ton of preseason hype around them, but a solid enough start to the season has them on the right path if they want to prove some people wrong this year.
BC, meanwhile, has had a slower start to the season, dropping three of their five games and managing only one win. They did play legitimately well last weekend in their two games against Denver, however, and managed to take the second game in a shootout (officially recorded as a tie) after dropping a close on on Friday night. If they manage to keep up that level of play going forward, they should be able to turn things around and start picking up some wins in the coming weeks.
This is also the start of conference play for the Eagles, and it will be against a team that they were not able to defeat all of last season. Northeastern took the season series 3-0 in 2025-26, so BC will also be looking to turn the page from that. We should be in for a pair of fun games this weekend, as this is a rivalry that always feels to get pretty chippy once the puck is dropped.
Prediction: BC gets their season back on the right foot with a weekend sweep
