Good Friday morning, TSFers. We’ve made it to another weekend! Hopefully the Arsenal don’t screw it up by dropping points at 10:00 am on Saturday (although 7:30 am dropped points are even worse). There is a Premier League match today — Everton vs. Coventry — so there’s an early deadline for you FPL players. Make sure you change your sides as necessary!
We’ve reached another international break somehow. I guess it’s coming at a decent time for Arsenal with Bukayo Saka on the shelf for a still-undetermined
period, William Saliba not quite back in action, and Ezri Konsa subbed off against Slavia Praha seemingly out of precaution after he felt something. Mikel Arteta downplayed Konsa’s problem, chalking it up to minutes accumulation and fatigue more than anything else. I wish Declan Rice could get some rest, but England have two Nations League matches during the break, so I’m sure he’ll end up playing 270 minutes.
On the personal / OT side of things: I woke up around 5 am to the sound of a driving downpour outside and Gunner curled up in bed with us because he doesn’t like the sounds during rainstorms. We really needed the rain here, it’d been 18 days without it. I’ve decided that I’m simply going to embrace that I’m “we needed this rain” years old. On this morning’s walk, I noted to my fiance that all the wet, downed leaves on the streets where we walk make me nervous that I’m going to slip and fall. I’m concerned that people drive to fast on the neighborhood streets. “Welcome to middle age,” one of my neighbors told me.
What middle age tips do y’all veterans have for me?
