What is the story about?

Good Wednesday morning, TSFers and happy hump day! Arsenal are entering the draws, the ping-pong balls type not the result type. The Carabao Cup third round draw, where the Premier League clubs that are in Europe enter the competition, is later today. The Champions League draw is tomorrow.
There have been a few interesting results from the second round of the Carabao:
- Wolves 3 – West Ham 2: Two goals from Jorgen Strand Larsen (for whom Wolves recently rejected a 55M bid from Newcastle) in two minutes (82, 84) turned the match on its head. West Ham are putrid.
- Wrexham 3 – Preston 2: Everyone’s favorite TV club pegged Preston back twice before a Kieffer Moore 92nd minute goal put them through
- Bournemouth 0 – Brentford 2: Fabio Carvalho and Igor Thiago scored for the Bees. Any matchup between two PL clubs is notable. Both sides rotated their starting lineups rather significantly.
- Sunderland 1 (5) – Huddersfield 1 (6): A League One side knocking out a Premier League side is rather noteworthy. American Lyndon Gooch plays right back for Huddersfield. The more you know!
- Sheffield Wednesday 1 (3) – Leeds United 1 (0): Ethan Horvath, he of the penalty shootout heroics for the USMNT against Mexico in 2021, has done it again. He saved the first and third attempts from Leeds, with Dominic Calvert Lewin sending his shot to outer space on the second attempt, to put the bottom-of-the-Championship club through over the PL one.
Fulham, Everton, Brighton, and Manchester United are all in action today (3x 2:45 kickoff and one 3:00 PM, all on Paramount+) if you’re
jones-in’ for some football.
Remember to take Bukayo Saka out of your fantasy lineups. Le sigh.
