The Jets are on a three game losing streak that has dropped the team’s record to 2-6. The last two of the losses have come at home against beatable opponents. Unsurprisingly our latest SB Nation Reacts confidence poll suggests a majority of Jets fans do not feel good about the team.
Interestingly, though, confidence actually edged up a bit. A week ago in the aftermath of the team’s loss to the previously winless Miami Dolphins, fan confidence fell to 21 percent.
Our polls are not scientific, but I
have to admit I am surprised to see around one-third of the fanbase still have confidence in the team’s direction. This might have to do with the rookie class looking solid and three first round picks on the way in. It almost certainly is not because of the level of coaching this team is receiving.
In any event, I have seen a number of Jets seasons go off the rails in recent memory. Normally confidence is lower. We will see how this weekend’s game against the Chiefs impacts things.
