Easy come, easy go.
The Noche UFC showdown between top featherweight prospects Rodrigo Vera and Ramiro Jimenez has been canceled after visa issues prevented Vera from making it to Desert Diamond Arena on Sept. 12 in Glendale, Arizona. Jimenez is not expected to remain on the card, likely due to the availability of replacements on such short notice.
Vera vs. Jiminez was slotted for the “Prelims” portion of the Noche UFC 4 fight card.
Bummer.
“Well, the fight on September 12th won’t be able to take place, mostly due to a visa paperwork issue that didn’t come through on time,” Vera said on Instagram. “My apologies to Ramiro, it was going to be an excellent fight. And well, I wish you all the best and hope you find a super-fast replacement. And well, on my end, I’ll keep training, and I’ll keep you updated on what’s to come.”
