The games don’t count, but by the time August rolls around, the NFL preseason is a welcome sign that football season is almost here.
The 2026 NFL preseason schedule details were announced Wednesday, with NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reporting the game times and which matchups will be nationally televised.
The Steelers won’t have a national preseason game this season, but each game will kick off at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
Steelers 2026 preseason schedule
- Preseason Week 1: Aug. 13 vs. Green Bay Packers, 7 p.m. EST
- Preseason Week 2: Aug 21 vs. New York Jets, 7 p.m. EST
- Preseason Week 3: Aug 27 at Buffalo Bills, 7 p.m. EST
While the Steelers’ preseason
TV channels haven’t been officially announced yet, the games are always available on the team’s preseason game affiliates, as well as live on NFL Plus. NFL Network might pick up a Steelers preseason game or two this year, as well.
After the preseason, the Steelers’ regular season will kick off when Pittsburgh hosts the Atlanta Falcons Week 1 Sept. 13.
