The Seattle Seahawks are comfortable favorites against their division rival Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.
After opening the 2026 season with a 13-10 comeback victory over the New England Patriots, the Seahawks will hit the road for their first away game of the season when they visit the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 20.
According to the current lines at FanDuel Sportsbook, Seattle is a 5.5-point favorite (-110). The Seahawks’ moneyline is -235, while Arizona sits at +194. The game total is currently set
at 41.5 points.
That makes Seattle a relatively significant road favorite, but the betting line comes with an important wrinkle: Drew Lock is expected to start at quarterback against Arizona with Sam Darnold sidelined by his injury.
Darnold suffered the glute injury on Seattle’s opening drive against New England and did not return. Lock took over and ultimately helped the Seahawks complete the comeback, finishing the game 16-of-22 for 187 yards and a touchdown.
The latest reports indicate that Darnold is expected to miss the Cardinals game, putting Lock in line for his first start of the 2026 season. That makes the -5.5 spread particularly interesting. Seattle is being asked to cover more than a field goal on the road despite making a quarterback change just one game into the season.
Arizona won’t be an easy opponent, either. The Cardinals opened their season with a 26-14 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, giving them a victory on the road before returning home to Seattle.
The Seahawks, meanwhile, are coming off a defensive performance in which they intercepted Drake Maye three times in the fourth quarter to help overturn their only 10-0 deficit and get the opening night victory.
That combination helps explain why the total is relatively low at 41.5 points. FanDuel’s current market projects a game in which Seattle is favored to win, but not necessarily one expected to turn into a shootout.
And, honestly, what else should we expect from a game in Glendale? There’s nothing particularly normal about playing the Cardinals in the desert, where these matchups have a habit of turning chaotic and unpredictable. Seattle should be prepared for another one of those games.
