Barcelona’s hunt for a new center-back is keeping the rumor mill very busy currently and another name has been added to the Catalans’ list of targets.
A new report from Mundo Deportico claims Barca have been “offered” the chance to sign Real Betis defender Natan.
Real Betis are apparently willing to sell this summer for around €30 million and stand to make a big profit on a player who cost them juts €9m. For Barca, he’s seen as a low-cost alternative to top target Alessandro Bastoni.
Natan has been
linked with several Premier League clubs already and was even tipped to move to Real Madrid last season but Los Blancos signed Dean Huijsen instead.
A strong and powerful left-footer, 25-year-old Natan is also a threat at set-pieces and even scored against Barcelona last season when the two teams met in La Liga.
The Brazilian is said to be keen to continue in La Liga, giving Barcelona the edge over the Premier League sides if they do decide to go for the Betis man instead of Bastoni.
