The Atlanta Braves are taking on the Cincinnati Reds after overcoming a scare yesterday where Ronald Acuña when down when he fouled a ball off of his lower leg. Fortunately, tests came back negative.
Chris Sale is likely making his final start of the regular season in a matchup against Andrew Abbott where we see opposite types of seasons happening. Sale is having one of the best seasons of his career, firmly in line to come in second or third place in Cy Young voting, while Abbott is having the worst
season of his four year career.
There is not much to gain or lose in today’s game since the Dodgers have all but secured the second seed, but it is always fun at the end of the season to see which players can pad their stats in hopes of earning some award respect.
