The Tennessee Titans underwent pretty significant changes at tight end this offseason. Chig Okonkwo was allowed to leave in free agency. Gunnar Helm is being promoted, and Daniel Bellinger was signed to a $24 million contract. The Titans also signed Kylen Granson and drafted Jaren Kanak.
We’re currently projecting the Titans to keep four tight ends on the initial 53-man roster. They’ll play a significant role in Brian Daboll’s offense. With that in mind, we’ve ranked the Titans’ tight ends from best
to worst.
Gunnar Helm
Helm is expected to take a sophomore step forward as the primary receiver at the position. The former Texans standout was very impressive as a rookie, and no longer has Okonkwo in his way of receiving significant targets. Hopefully Helm becomes a reliable outlet for Cam Ward.
Daniel Bellinger
The Titans paid Bellinger $8 million per season on a multi-year contract partially due to his familiarity with Daboll’s offense. He’ll be the team’s most reliable in-line blocker. The Titans also believe he has some untapped potential as a pass catcher. He’ll play a massively underrated role.
Kylen Granson
Will Kylen Granson or David Martin-Robinson make the Titans’ 53-man roster? That should be a tight battle throughout training camp. We’re currently giving the slight edge to Granson since he was signed in free agency. He’s a compact pass catcher with 79 career NFL appearances.
Jaren Kanak
The Titans selected Jaren Kanak in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft. He’s a former linebacker turned tight end who showed real potential at his new position. There’s untapped athleticism worth developing, but Kanak will probably start out as a major special teams player.
