It’s been a while since we checked in on a WWE Top 10 video, and when I happened across the latest I knew I had to share. It covers the “nastiest rivalries of the 2020s,” what they called the “10 most epic rivalries” over that time period. I was certain I knew who they would put at number one, and I was wrong.

WWE has very much positioned Reigns as the top heel of the 2020s while Rhodes has been the top babyface during that same time, even if he didn’t come back until 2022. They headlined two WrestleMania events in a row, the latter of which is a show/match the company may not top for some time. There’s no world that exists where I would have thought they would put any other feud above it.
But when I saw it was Punk vs. McIntyre, I didn’t hate the choice. I wasn’t thinking of DM Hunk as a potential dance partner for Punk upon his return but they absolutely made the most of the time they were given, including one of the best Hell in a Cell matches of all time to finish it off.
I’m good with the choice.
