The Seattle Seahawks got not one, not two, but three wide receivers back for the first practice of Week 11.
A severe injury uptick last week didn’t matter against the Arizona Cardinals. But with this Sunday being against the Los Angeles Rams, reinforcements are a welcome sight.
Jake Bobo, Tory Horton, and cornerback Josh Jobe all returned to the field for practice on Wednesday. Cooper Kupp was also able to remain full participant in his second week since returning.
Jalen Sundell was the only injury-related instance of not practicing.
The Seahawks only needed 12 passes – half of them sent to Jaxon Smith-Njigba – to wallop the Arizona Cardinals. They did not have the league’s second-stingiest defense by points allowed as do the Rams. As good as Smith-Njigba is, it will be important to have as much of the room available as possible. The diversity of JSN / Kupp / Horton / Rashid Shaheed can stress the Los Angeles defense.
The new wrinkle to watch is undoubtedly a limited designation for rookie Grey Zabel, with an apparently new heel injury. The Seahawks have already sent their most experienced backup into the rotation as Olu Oluwatimi looks to be covering for Sundell again. Seattle is six linemen deep; not sure they are seven.
Hoping for good news moving forward.
