Columbus Clippers (59-78) – AAA
COL 3 – STP 4
Aaron Davenport and the Columbus Clippers took on the St. Paul Saints, falling just shy of a victory. Davenport fell to 3-7 on the season. He pitched 5.1IP, 4H, 4R/ER, 5BB, with 7K. Matt Krook finished the sixth inning and pitched the seventh. He walked two batters and struck out one. Jack Leftwich pitched the eighth, walking one and striking out one.
A three-run fourth gave the Clippers a two run lead. Johnathan Rodríguez lead off with a single to left. With two outs, Dom Nuñez drew a walk. Christian
Cairo slapped a single of his own to center, scoring Rodríguez from second and advancing Nuñez to third. A wild pitch put Cairo in scoring position. Milan Tolentino reached on an error, scoring both Nuñez and Cairo. Unfortunately the Saints came back in the sixth to take the lead and ultimately the win.

AKR 6 – HBG 2
The RubberDucks are victorious against the Harrisburg Senators as the regular season winds down for Akron. Khal Stephen went 4.0IP, 3H, 1R/ER, 1BB, 3K. Ross Carver improved to 3-2 on the season with a win in his 1.1IP, 1H, 0R/ER, 4BB, 1K. Jack Jasiak went 2.2IP, 2H, 0R/ER, 0BB, 3K. Tyler Thornton went 1.0IP, 1H, 1R/ER, 0BB, 0K.
Akron kicked off the scoring in the top of the third. With two outs, Wuilfredo Antunez tripled to right field. Alfonsin Rosario singled to score Antunez, putting Akron up by one run.
In the top of the fifth, Christian Knapczyk hit a one-out single to left field. A forceout left Knapczyk out at second and Angel Genao on first. Ralphy Velazquez hit a double to left, scoring Genao.
In the seventh, Angel Genao singled with two outs to keep the inning alive. Ralphy Velazquez hit the replay button and doubled to center to score Genao.
The RubberDucks piled on the runs in the eighth and ninth inning. Alfonsin Rosario hit a lead off double in the eighth then stole third base. Jacob Cozart hit a sac fly to score Rosario. In the ninth Christian Knapczyk singled to lead off, but was picked off at first. Angel Genao doubled and scored when Wuilfredo Antunez singled to center. Alfonsin Rosario smacked in the last run of the game with a triple to center.
