Bayern Munich supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has been around the block long enough to know star power when he sees it.
So, when Rummenigge looks out at the pitch and seen winger Michael Olise, the longtime executive can recognize the aura surrounding the Frenchman. Given that, Rummenigge does not see any way that those infamous transfer rumors surrounding Olise are true — or that Bayern Munich would even entertain such offers.
“Those are rumors that make everyone at the club smile.
You know better than anyone how the media carousel works. He has three years left on his contract – nothing more to say. People go to the stadium for players like him,” Rummenigge told AS (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Olise’s acquisition from Crystal Palace (Bayern Munich first started scouting him during his time with Reading) will almost assuredly go down as one of the most astute and forward-thinking moves for the club during this modern era.
