Barcelona are reportedly planning on bringing Jan Virgili back to Camp Nou and will then send the winger out on loan to Real Betis.
Deco met Virgili’s agent for talks earlier this week and it seems like the Catalans could be about to make a move.
Barcelona have a buy-back option on Virgili and can re-sign him in a deal worth around €7.2 million. Virgili could then move on to Real Betis to replace in-demand attacker Ez Abde, according to Cadena Ser.
Virgili’s future has been in the spotlight for most
of the season after a campaign with Real Mallorca where he made 31 appearances and contributed two goals and four assists.
Barcelona are admirers but think that Virgili still needs more experience at the top level before he’s ready to play for Hansi Flick’s first team which is why a move to Betis is on the cards.
Talks between all parties are said to be at an “initial phase” but Barca see Virgili as a market opportunity this summer.
As for the teenager, he’s made it clear he would be happy to return, saying back in March: “Well, if Barça called me, it would be hard to say no.”
