Manchester United Women return to Barclays Women’s Super League action on Saturday, travelling to London to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Reds have enjoyed an extended break over the festive
period, last playing against Tottenham Hotspur in the Subway Women’s League Cup three weeks ago.
But with all focus now quickly turning back to our league endeavours, tests do not come much bigger than against the Gunners on their own patch.
The Gunners are currently one point ahead of United in the table, with both sides still in the hunt for European qualification.
Held to a 0-0 draw at the Progress With Unity Stadium earlier this term, Arsenal come into this game on an impressive winning run.
It’s six victories on the bounce for Renee Slegers’s side, who have also progressed in Europe, as have the Reds.
This game precedes our meeting in the League Cup on 21 January, with that tie also taking place at the Emirates Stadium.
Former Red Alessia Russo is always one to watch, with the talented striker having already scored five times in all competitions this season.
