According to BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella, who usually reports on Chelsea, Bournemouth are now open to offers for their midfielder, Alex Scott.
The 23-year-old English midfielder was in demand over the summer, with multiple bids from Chelsea. Obviously, his links with our current head coach, Andoni Iraola, make him a popular rumoured target for Liverpool FC.
However, a mid-season exit is not guaranteed. If the right offer arrives, in the region of £100m+, and Premier League safety looks likely, a sale is not off the table.
Chelsea is the main interested party, but Liverpool are also well positioned if they choose to move, with Lamine Camara and Manu Kone as other options, either in January or the summer.
Personally, I think that’s a hefty fee to pay when Camera is also on the market and going for far less. Unless Liverpool really prefer Scott by a lot and really need his English status for squad-building quotas, I can’t really see Liverpool outbidding Chelsea on this one.
