The Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins should be a marquee matchup for the NFL, with both teams fighting for a playoff berth as the league schedule reaches the halfway point. Both teams come into the game
with identical win totals on the year, and it feels like this could be a game that springboards a team into AFC playoff picture contention.
Of course, being tied in wins is not exactly as awesome as it sounds when the Ravens are 2-5 and the Dolphins are 2-6. In year where the AFC does not have a truly dominant team, there is a possibility the winner on Thursday Night Football could find their way back into playoff contention. Baltimore is only two games behind the AFC North lead, currently held by the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4-3. In the AFC East, Miami has a tougher climb, as the New England Patriots are four games ahead of the Dolphins with a 6-2 record. Both teams are going to have string together several wins after struggling through the first half of the year, but they probably have to come away with the win tonight.
